She is survived by her children: Laurie Street, Lynn (Brian) Rhynas, Jane Street &Todd Street; grandchildren Jacqueline Hilton & Sophia Hilton; siblings: Beth (John) Knutson & John (Brenda) Barnick; brother-in-Law Al Parent & sister -in-Law: Pricella Barnick.
Barbara was a devout Christian. Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 – “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
She married David Street on February 27, 1960, together they had a wonderful life with their 4 children Laurie, Lynn, Jane and Todd. The family moved around with Dave’s career at Honeywell. They lived in several places in Minnesota as well as: San Diego, California; Milford, Massachusetts and Phoenix, Arizona.
Barbara and David retired in Sun City, Arizona and enjoyed the retirement life as snowbirds spending winters in Arizona and summers in Minnesota. They were blessed with two grandchildren Jacqueline and Sophia. They often took the opportunity to visit on the trips back and forth.
Together they enjoyed golfing in Sun City, traveling—including travels to visit friends and families, until David passed away on May 3, 2005 which was Barbara’s 66th birthday.
In the years that followed, Barbara continued the snowbird lifestyle. She enjoyed fishing in Minnesota with her dear friend Buck Owens. Buck was a high school classmate and adored Barbara. He took great care of her until her passing. Our thoughts are that Barbara was around a few extra years because of Buck.
