Sharon battled small cell lung cancer for a year before she give her life to Jesus as her Savior. She passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Minden, NV on April 9, 2024 at the age of 83.
She was born in Long Beach, CA on November 2, 1940 to Fred Ray Siratt and Lily Lorene Burris. Sharon grew up in Wilmington, CA. She also lived a short time in Oregon and Texas, moving back to California making her home in Manteca, CA.
Her career began in the electronics era in the Silicon Valley where she worked tirelessly, after a decade in electronics she changed careers and went to work in the accounting field. She worked at several accounting companies before settling at Super Stores Industries where she retired in 2006.
Sharon had many different roles with the people in her life, from being a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her favorite role was being a mother. Sharon raised her five children as a single parent, she worked long hours, sometime two jobs just to make sure she provided her children with their basic needs. She always made sure her children had a gift under the Christmas tree and something special on their Birthday. She gave all.. for her children and gave them the best life she could. She was the best, perfect mother and was generous with her time, always willing to listen to those she loved, always knew how to put a smile on their faces. Her house was always full of children be it her own or the neighborhood children, she was mom to them all. There was always love and laughter in her home.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to music especially Neil Diamond. She would sit in the family room listening to her favorite songs singing along so beautifully, she would record herself singing and play it back filling the house with her beautiful voice. She loved her birds and spending time with her dogs, they were her companions. She enjoyed painting landscape scenes, going to the casino, going to the coast, and spending time on her favorite bidding sites, more for others than for herself., she always found something for everyone on her bidding sites.
She was very grateful for her life, her family and her friends. After she found out she had lung cancer she decided she didn't want treatment, she wanted to live out the rest of her life as comfortable as she can. She said "I had s a happy life, a good life." She has no regrets or "I wish I could've's". Just the other day her daughter Denise overheard her Thanking God for her life, her daughters and her son.
