I worked with Jim at BNL and enjoyed his quiet kindness and dry humor.     He liked being part of the party.  Lots of fun times with the ITD folks - many good memories.  My condolences to his family.  Rest easy Jim & Colleen, God Bless.

So many happy memories with Jim and Colleen over the years.  As a coworker at BNL Jim was always more than helpful whenever you needed his knowledge.  He helped us set up so many Corporate Challenge run parties; barely ever missed a Lab Christmas party; set up his annual Christmas eve breakfast accompanied by his  beloved Shamrock, then later Clover.  You'll be sorely missed Jim but we're confident that you're resting peacefully now that you're with Colleen.  Love, Sue Wells & Allan Corby

Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of Jim working with the children in our program. He was a well loved Volunteer. The children who ride in our program would request him. The other volunteers loved working with him and the instructors were always thrilled when he was there to volunteer for their lessons.  He will be greatly missed. I can’t imagine a future without him here at the ranch.

Jim will always be remembered with fond memories.   So many great times at St Patty’s celebrations and other BNL events.

I worked with Jim.  He was one of the most decent guys I knew.  Always kind and respectful.  He definitely made the world a better place by being in it.  He will be missed.

I worked with Jim for many years at BNL.  Besides being a co-worker, I considered him a friend.  Jim was always available to swap stories about sailing, the Great South Bay, our dogs, our shared attempts at running, and so much more.  He was there to help anytime whether it was work related or some event such as his efforts for St Baldricks.  He had such a kind approachable outgoing personality that I enjoyed just spending time with him and our colleagues at lunches, happy hours, and other BNL functions.  He will be missed.  Rest in peace with your dear wife Colleen my friend.

I knew Jim and Colleen since I moved to our home back in 1980.  
Just to offer a note of condolences and sorrow to Jim's family .
I am sure he will be missed greatly by them, his co-workers, his volunteers at the Horse farm , and his friends .  I know he missed Colleen with his whole heart , so I do hope they are reunited .  



Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jim and his family. He will be missed, and we will always have our memory's. He was always kind and helpful and will be missed at our fishing tournament each year. We enjoyed clamming with him and sitting around the boats just laughing and talking and going to dinner with Jim and Colleen.  We are grateful that we got to know Jim and Colleen.

My heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the entire Marron family for the loss of their beloved Jimmy.
My personal recollections & association with Jim are limited as I was a bit younger. I don't remember him being part of any of our street football or hide & seek games. I do however remember him having a good business sense as he would pay Tom to run errands for him. He served his country overseas & if my memory (O Boy) serves me well came home with a German stereo system to listen to his collection of Beach Boy albums.  We were all beach bums back then, cut-offs and bare feet all summer long. Jim took it to the next level and even though his first car looked like something my dad would drive the race rally strips and roof rack for the surf board was very cool (or whatever we would say back then).

If my details are a bit off, my apology's, my hope is at the very least to provide a catalyst of warm memories.

Two of my favorite memories of Jim. When he started at BNL, he organized the original Shamrock run. Jim and the other runners would run the morning of Christmas Eve while other prepped the brunch (I would be the non-runner).  Jim would also have the special version of the OJ in his office. After we lost Shamrock, it became the Clover run. 

My 2nd favorite memory would be when I would collect funds for an auction - Jim did not like all my emails. He once handed me $20 or $40 and told me to never email him again about it. 😂. I will miss Jim dearly and hope that him and his Colleen are reunited again. 😢
