Born October 10, 1949, to Timothy Hoyt and Zona Genevieve Palmer, Valeen valued being there for others. She was always present and prompt and trusted to help wherever and whenever needed. This was recognized and told to her in work, at church, in the home and everywhere she was known.
Valeen has always been a jovial, happy, peaceable individual, mild-mannered and forgiving. She was always devout and humble in her faith and careful of judging others. She found meaning and enjoyment in all her callings, one of her favorites was helping the primary, and her opportunities to serve others and the Lord by doing such.
Valeen was very family oriented. She diligently taught her ethics and faith to her children and her grandchildren. She was proud to be involved with and informed of all her children and their choices and progress in life. She also had a personal relationship with every grandchild and knew them individually.
In her individual life, Valeen was an avid reader and liked to constantly learn. She would take a subject and get documentaries, videos, books, whatever was available and learn it and enjoy that. She enjoyed movies and spent a lot of time in sharing these passions with her grandchildren. She was an avid Dr Who fan, Star Trek fan, had a deep appreciation of 9-11, a fascination with the Titanic, and found enjoyment in so many other historical aspects of life. While doing all this, she enjoyed immensely to have a big bowl of ice cream and made sure her grandchildren and children always were able to have some when visiting her.
She was preceded from this life by her parents; two brothers, Timothy and Raeldon; her husband, Allen Pack; and one son, Kevin Pack.
She is survived by her other 4 children, Jeffery, Nathan (Jeanette), Steven (Sandra), and Jennifer (Damon); her sister Myrla (Richard), brother Nolan (Lorena); sister-in-law JoEllen; 23 grand children and 1 great granddaughter.
