Ross “Lynn” Jensen, born October 12, 1940 returned to his Heavenly Father on May 28, 2013. Lynn was preceded in passing by his parents, Harold Jensen and Eleanor Raikes Jensen. He is survived by his wife, Tessa Morris Jensen, with whom he shared a loving marriage consecrated in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on May 10, 1974. Lynn is also survived by his sister, Amber Jensen Poel and William Poel (husband), as well as his two children, Curtis Jensen, Kimberley Jensen Lord, and Curtis Lord (husband). He also leaves behind two nephews, William Poel and Steven Poel, as well as his four grandchildren, Jakob Lord, Brendon Lord, Leila Jensen, and Benjamin Jensen. As a young man, Lynn graduated from West High School, and went on to serve a two year mission call in Edinburgh, Scotland. Lynn also served in the U.S. Air Force, being stationed in Texas and Taiwan, and later completed his education with a Master’s Degree in History from the University of Utah. Lynn spent the majority of his career as a dedicated employee with Mountain Bell/Dex. He is known for his tireless devotion to the LDS church, for which he served as a Stake Clerk for many years, and found great fulfillment in his final calling the Orange Street Branch. Lynn was a gentle, loving man, a friend to all animals. He loved to play the organ, had a strong passion for history, and loved to tell his children and grandchildren stories. Other hobbies include reading and building model airplanes. He will be missed by family and friends and revered for the many gifts of spirit that he bestowed upon all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Center 3rd Ward at 1955 W. 400 N., Salt Lake City. The family will greet friends from 9:30 – 10:45 AM at the church.
