Phil Rasband

Growing up, Phil loved scouting, hiking, and fishing. He also received his Eagle Scout Award. Phil served in the United States Army in 1958.

An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served a mission in the East Central States Mission from 1959-1961. Phil also served in the Albuquerque, NM Temple and Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple.

Phil received his Accounting Degree/CPA from the University of Utah. He owned a successful CPA firm in Farmington, New Mexico and worked tirelessly, especially during tax season. He provided many services for free and was very generous with his knowledge and expertise. Phil showed his love to his family by providing generously for them and attending all their activities.

January 24, 1976, he married his eternal sweetheart, Jean Wood, in the Salt Lake Temple. Phil and Jean have 4 sons and 1 daughter. They raised their children in Farmington, NM, and were devoted and loving parents. They taught their children to love The Lord, be responsible, hard-working, and honest. They valued education and ensured all 5 children graduated from college.

They later retired in Lindon, Utah where they loved to travel, serve others, and enjoy family.

Phil had a fun sense of humor, a signature “hello” wave, and a loud bear hug for the grandkids. Phil loved picking out Jean’s clothes and buying them.

Phil is survived by his wife, Jean and children: J. Gordon Seaman (Robin), Juliana G. Casey (Dusty), S. Clark Seaman (Daylyn), Daniel P. Rasband (Deborah), William S. Rasband (Marissa); 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Karen (Dennis) Andrews; and 2 brothers, Bruce (Sheila), and Paul (Edith) Rasband. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Kent and Dee.

The family would like to thank Bristol Hospice and Spring Gardens Assisted Living for their love and compassion during Phil’s last few months.

A morning viewing for Phil will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Lindon West Stake Center, 250 W. 600 S. (1600 North in Orem), Lindon, UT 84042. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 250 W. 600 S. (1600 North in Orem), Lindon, UT 84042. An interment will occur Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah 84106.
