Laura (Marie) Dahlquist passed away October 18, 2018 at age 90. She was born in Portland, Oregon October 21, 1927, to Theodore Michael Nightwine and Laura Eleanor Lundahl. Married Earl Wallace Dahlquist June 20, 1953 in Napa California and sealed on April 15, 1960 in the Los Angeles Temple, they shared 39 happy years together. She shared her joy of music with everyone, as a concert pianist and piano teacher for over 50 yrs. She also directed multiple choirs. She loved life, music, art, folk dancing, crafts, her savior, her family and all people. Her many talents she freely shared with all. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served with pleasure in all callings.
She is survived by five children, Kris (Lori) Dahlquist, Karin (James) Alexander, Heidi (Joe) Timmons, Sonja (John) Johnson, Dana (Auty) Dahlquist. She had 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren who love her. She led an exemplary life of love and kindness and will be missed.
A very special thanks to the fine people at Apple Village Assisted Living in Layton for all their loving care of Mom. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday October 27th, at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr., SLC. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services.
