John was deeply honored and proud to serve his country in the US Air Force during WWII and the Korean conflict. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was married to his sweetheart, Donna Faye Eagar Moore, who preceded John in death in 1991.
He is survived by his children: John (Jay) Lusk Moore, Jr. (Debra), Charles Moore (Vicki), and Eileen Moore Noel (Scott). He has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
John was a true southern gentleman, and had a wicked wit. He loved to tell hair-raising stories from his time in the Air Force, some of them actually true. He and Donna Faye loved Hawaii, and spent many visits there.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Legacy Village and Care Source Hospice for the love and comfort provided John in his last days.
Memorial services to be held Friday, October 15 at Noon, Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Condolences may be made to www.wasatchlawn.com
