Jessie Gay Hart Johnson was born August 25, 1924 at Balty, Virginia to Charles and Lucille Hart. Jessie Gay passed away peacefully at home January 27, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray and a son, Mark; her father and mother and both of her two brothers; Walter and Roger Hart. She is survived by two sons; Raymond and his spouse LuAnn of Gilbert, Arizona and Douglas and his spouse Robyn of Layton, Utah. Grandchildren; Shaun, Mariann, Brittani, Nicholas, and Jessica, Emily and Frank and 14 great grandchildren. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving most recently as a hostess at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in SLC, completing 12 years of missionary service. Civically. Jessie Gay had been active in fund raising for cancer research and was recognized for her work by Governor Scott Mathisen. We will miss our dear mother who devoted her life to family and her faith. Visitation service will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive, SLC, Utah, Friday February 6th from 6--8pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 7th at the LDS church building at 2125 E. Evergreen Avenue, SLC, Utah at 11am. Committal will occur at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.
