TOGETHER AGAIN
Our loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Gloria “Gae” Burdette returned to her Heavenly Father, and the loving arms of her husband, Duane Burdette on March 11, 2013. Mom and dad were married on October 4, 1956 in the SLC Temple. They were able to celebrate there Golden Wedding Anniversary before dads passing.
Mom was the loving daughter of Jack and Evelynn Naisbett. Gae was born June 25, 1936 in Salt Lake City, where she attended South High School.
Mom made friends easy and at a very young age she meet her life long girl friends, together they shared good times and bad times. The girls loved every moment they spend together from the first to the last.
Mom was mom to so many, not just her own family but to any one that may have needed a mom. To one special doctor she was known as his Utah mom. She always had a smile on her face and kiss for those that called her mom.
Raising eight children keptt mom on her toes, with very little time for her self. She loved watching her kids play sports and spent many long days at ball parks. Mom loved to go camping with her family. She enjoys NASCAR and Family Christmas parties but most of all spending time with friends and family.
Mom was gentle and kind and was always serving others. She would be the first to fix a needed meal for a neighbor and bake a cake for another. She enjoyed working at LDS Hospital and Mountain West Gastroenterology.
Mom was preceded in in death by her husband Daune, son (Matthew) and parents.
Survived by daughter Becky (Terry) Adams; 5 sons Kelly (Deaune); Mark; Brad(Amy); Jeff; Bryan; Travis; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 16, 2013 at 2:00p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 Highland Drive Salt Lake City, Utah. Friend may visit family from 12:00(noon) to 2:00p.m. Entombment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of I.M.C. Hospital for the kind and loving car they gave mom in her last days.
If Gae could say one last thing it would be, I love my family and all of you.
