He attended Granite High School where he played on the basketball team. He then went on to the University of Utah school of business and graduated in the top 1 % of his class.
He met the love of his life Barbara Jensen while attending a dance at BYU. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 14, 1962.
He owned and operated a successful business, Shingleton sewing center for over 50 years. Many of his employees and customers became his lifelong friends.
In his younger years he enjoyed boating, fishing, camping trips to Flaming Gorge and watching his girls play sports and supporting them in everything they did. As he got older he enjoyed gardening and sharing raspberry pies with all of his neighbors. He loved going to Silver Lake and the Oakley Rodeo with his kids and grandkids. We all remember going to Snelgroves for ice cream or finding FatBoys in his freezer and eating his famous homemade ice cream at family parties.
He was a great husband and father.
He is survived by his wife Barbara and four daughters . Jill (Darren) Edman, Wendy (Scott) Stein, Heather (Val) Gardner, Jodie (Brian) Rencher and his two sisters Deann (Harlan) Free, and Elaine (Bill) Burraston. 10 grandkids and 5 great grandkids. A private family celebration of his life will be held in his Honor. We love and miss you Dad.
