09/03/1921 – 01/26/2011
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away on 01/26/11 of natural causes while residing at St. Joseph’s Villa. They provided her with excellent care.
She was born to Harry and Renetta Lenz Specht on 09/03/21 in Saginaw, MI. She married David H. Crocker on 12/19/42. They moved to Salt Lake City, UT in 1958 due to a job transfer and fell in love with the area. They were married for over 63 years. Dad’s job required him to travel throughout the state of Utah. Mom traveled with him on occasion and spent many wonderful days viewing Utah’s spectacular scenery.
Mom strived to live up to her name and did an excellent job of it. She was the 1970 Utah State Fair champion bread maker. She also received first place ribbons for her knitting, sewing and canning. She enjoyed sharing her baked goods with her family, neighbors and friends. She was also a champion wife and mother. She attended all her children and grandchildren’s school and sports activities. She has always been there when she was needed most and will be greatly missed.
Mom is survived by her four sons; David (Shirley), Mike (Cathy), Mark (Lisa) and Chris, six grandchildren; Amy (Michael) Thomas, Brad (Tiffany), Katie, Sydnee, Brandon and Tiffany; four great grandchildren, Dante, Brynn, Bailey and Anna; sister Leila, brothers Ken and Bill. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, parents-in –law, brothers Frank and Jack and sister and brother-in-law Jean and Bill Schneider.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 02/05/11; 12:00 PM at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT. A viewing will be held just prior to the service from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM.
