Anna Mae was born on September 12th 1935 to Leonard and Eva Wycherly in Bingham Canyon and grew up on a ranch in Monroe, Utah. She attended West High School in Salt Lake City, but was asked to leave after showing up wearing panty hose!
She worked tirelessly, often juggling three jobs while raising her three children, and it was her love for her family and, really, everybody she met that defined her. She loved having visitors and, before anyone left, always made sure they checked in the fridge to take anything they wanted.
Along with her 3 sisters they formed a barber shop quartet, performing and competing nationally through the Sweet Adelines organization. She was a national championship level bowler and, allegedly, the first woman in Utah to bowl a perfect 300. She loved to play cards and made frequent trips to Las Vegas for Pan tournaments. Golf also gave her another outlet for her competitive streak and, rumor has it, she was the first woman in Utah to hit a hole-in-one. She loved painting ceramics and also created a very impressive model Christmas Village - complete with train set - in her basement. She also loved gardening and her yard was always the best on the block. Later she found another artistic talent, paint-by-numbers. At 62 years of age she became a registered massage therapist graduating from the Salt Lake School of Massage Therapy.
Anna Mae was met in heaven by her parents; sisters Norma & Darline and daughter Janna Dee.
She is survived by her son Steve; daughter Suzanne (Rory); sister Betty (Keith); Grandsons Jason (Meranda), Skyler (Jessica), Ben (Laurie), Rick (Nickole), Dan (Melissa), Ernie & Joshua and many great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Elevation Hospice, especially Wendy, Jamie, Julieta and Mery for their love and care for our Mom.
