Bill was born in Philadelphia, PA in July 1946. He grew up in Richboro, Bucks County. His wife Caroline was his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. After attending college, he joined the Navy and served during the Vietnam era. After the military, he joined Boehringer Ingelheim Chemical as the Director of Quality Management and retired after 30 years.
Bill enjoyed playing golf and doing any project with his son Billy. He could literally fix anything. Bill was a man of great faith and taught for his Sunday school class at Mt Pisgah, was a lay reader for Carson United Methodist and also taught Sunday school at Highland United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights. He loved to dance with Carol and was a prior member of the Moose Lodge in Hopewell. He served as a member of the Volunteer Rescue Squad in Prince George. He served on the board for Salisbury Home Owners Association. He volunteered for many other organizations but his most cherished moments were traveling and spending time with his family and loved to sit and enjoy the scenery on our deck with Bailey.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Sunday, March 30th at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel at 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Virginia. A private graveside service will be held later in the week.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church or MAHOVA (Masonic Home of Virginia).
The family would like to thank the most amazing hospice nurses at James River Home Health & Hospice.
