Dear Will -
I want to express my condolences on the loss of your brother. 
I have fond memories of fun times with you and Tom when we were boys. I always felt especially short next to you two.
My wife Judith and I left our home in Raleigh with the intention of being at the memorial service today, but unfortunately we only got as far as Colonial Heights. (You may have heard that I95 was closed. We tried to use an alternate route, but were directed poorly.) I hope to catch-up with you in person sometime soon.

The Evans Family was deeply saddened to hear of Tom’s passing.  Growing up in the same neighborhood as the Muse Family, my brother Dan and I could often be found at the Muse home playing basketball, wiffle ball (for hours), ping pong (for days), and then learning and debating some sort of trivia (often sports) until we all had to sleep somewhere.  The Muse Family was our 2nd home.  Tom and Will were (and remain) a foundational touchstone of our “growing up” years.  The necessities of adulthood pulled us in different geographical directions, but the sense of a shared childhood always remained.  I  can’t believe, but must accept, that I won’t be able to talk to him in person again.  We will always remember Tom; he was an absolute gem of a person.  Our condolences to Will and extended.  family members.  We are sorry not to be present for the celebration of Tom’s life.

We are so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing.  He was part of a group of friends who shared life’s ups and downs for several decades. Whether hiking, canoeing, stargazing, or gathering for an occasional dinner, we all enjoyed his quick wit and gentle sense of humor.  He will be missed.

Sending my condolences to Tom's brother, Will Muse, and the rest of the family (remaining aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.). I just found out about Tom's passing. He seemed fine when Mom and I took him out for his birthday at the end of August...so this comes as quite a shock.  He was a dear, sweet, wonderful, intelligent and considerate man, and he will be missed so much!  I consider myself very lucky to have known him, and spent the time with him that I did.  I will miss his laugh, and his smile.  This absolutely breaks my heart.  I consider myself very blessed to have been able to maintain a friendship with Tom, even though our marriage came to an end. I hope Willie can find comfort in all the fond memories, and knowing what a fine man his brother was.  My prayers are with the family. I know I speak for my Mom and sister, as well.
