She died peacefully in her sleep. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen E. Stagg, Jr.; daughter, Pamela A. Williams, and all of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her devoted son Allen E. "Eddie" Stagg, Ill (Debby); one nephew, David Hamilton; five grandchildren, Tom Stagg, Aaron Stagg (Danielle), Virginia "Lee" Nestor (Kevin), Clifton "Bubba" Williams, Ill (Patria), and Dale Kaufelt (Roy); six great-grandchildren, Chloe Smith, Sierra Williams, Jessica Williams, Keith Kaufelt, Kaitlyn Nestor, Kody Kaufelt (Breanna), Kristen Kaufelt; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kayden Kaufelt, and Kynlei Kaufelt.
Marjorie "Grammy" dearly loved spending time with her large family and many friends. She and Allen were married for fifty-eight wonderful years and lived in numerous places during their marriage. She was known for completing Crossword Puzzles in ink and without using any resource materials. Also, she loved playing Trivial Pursuit and hosting Family Gatherings. Her hobbies included sewing drapes and clothing, playing cards and collecting colored sea glass on the beaches of Florida. Marjorie will be greatly missed.
The family thanks the administration and staff of the Cross Roads/Crossings of Bon Air, The Laurels at Bon Air, Caring Home, and Traditions Health Hospice for all their loving care for Marjorie during her time of need.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Rd. Midlothian, VA, 23113. A private family graveside service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 400 Pilots Lane, Richmond VA, 23222.
