Lois J. Tuttle,91, of Bon Air, widow of Gurney O. Tuttle, departed this life February 14, 2019. She was born May 15, 1927 in Rochester, New York and was the daughter of the late Leonard and Rose Jenkins. Lois was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas W. Tuttle, and her brothers, James A. Jenkins and Leonard S. Jenkins, Jr.
She is survived by her children, John L. Tuttle (Margaret), Rosemary Bruce(Wayne), and Mark Tuttle ( Kelly) and daughter in law, Kathy Tuttle, and six grandchildren, Jeremiah Tuttle, Kate Sniecinski, Kelsey Bruce, Tom Tuttle, Frayser Tuttle, and Shelly Butler, and also five great grandchildren, Peyton, William, Nadia, Benjamin, and Maddie Rose.
Lois was retired from Christian Children's Fund, and she was the owner of Eastern Lawn Service. She was a member of May Memorial Baptist Church in Powhatan and a 1947 graduate of Mars Hill College.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home 1020 Huguenot Road Midlothian, VA. Burial will be private in Walnut Cove, NC.
