John Francis Bazow

John F. Bazow passed away peacefully at home in N Chesterfield, VA on May 30, 2024 at the age of 77. He was born January 2, 1947 in Troy, NY, the son of the late John and Marcella Edel Bazow. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Julianne Simms Bazow; his children, Jeffrey (Heather) Bazow, Kathleen (Luther) McGinty, Christopher (Erica) Bazow; and six grandchildren, Jayden and Dylan Bazow, Alexandra and Charlotte McGinty, and Reese and Andi Bazow. John was raised in Olean, NY and graduated from St. Bonaventure University, and was an officer in the U.S. Army, and a decorated combat veteran of the Vietnam War. He has a long history of working in sales and enjoyed running his own insurance agency. John was the life of the party, the king of toasts and known for his one liners. He is well known for saying “There is nothing more important than family” – which is evident in his finals days surrounded by his loving family.
