Elizabeth S. Hessler

Elizabeth S. Hessler, 83, of Bon Air, died on November 24, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Eugene Hessler, Jr. and her daughter, Ann Louise Hessler. She is survived by six children, Robert E. Hessler III and wife Fran, Thomas M. Hessler and wife Terri, Elizabeth M. Gutridge and husband Bob, Mary H. Moss and husband Tommy, John S. Hessler, and Christopher J. Hessler and fiancée Janet; 10 grandchildren; Robert (Gaby) Gutridge, Katie (Eric) Tipton, Kelly (Patrick) Steele, Holly Hessler, Jason (Erin) Gutridge, Matthew Hessler and friend Mandi, Marc (Leigh) Hessler, Michael (Kristy) Hessler, Jennifer (Quin) Lunsford, and Amy Hessler, 6 great grandchildren; Cohen, Malory, Maggie, Lily, Camden, and Morgan, two brothers in law; Harold R. (Kim) Hessler, and Robert Elliott. Elizabeth graduated from Misericordia University in Dallas, PA., she taught elementary school for 25 years within Hampton City and Richmond Public School Systems, and was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic and served the church in many different capacities throughout the years. Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9pm Sunday, November 27. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am, Monday, November 28, 2011, at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Drive. Interment private.
