Teresa is survived by her husband Mitch; daughter, Meagan Mitchell Wilson and husband Stephen of Midland, Texas with granddaughters, Mckenna and Skyler, parents Joe and Mary Crabtree of Midland, Texas; brother Randy Crabtree and wife Shannon of Fort Worth, Texas; nephew Garrett Crabtree and by many wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Teresa was born on June 20, 1962 in Brownfield, Texas.
Teresa excelled in school from 1st grade through 12th grade. She was involved in many activities in school including playing basketball in Jr. High, being in the National Honor Society, playing the French horn in Band and obtaining her cosmetology license while in High School.
Teresa had many friends in School including Sherry Green, Angela Martin-Edwards, and her cousin Debbie Stafford-Byrd who was only 6 weeks apart in age.
Teresa married her High School sweetheart Mitch Mitchell on July 17, 1982 in Slaton, Texas.
Teresa and Mitch lived in Slaton then moved to Playas, New Mexico, Silver City, New Mexico, and then Midland, Texas.
Teresa worked as a hairdresser in Slaton and then in New Mexico with her own business “Hair by Teresa.” She also worked at Agape School where Meagan attended. Upon moving to Midland, she worked with the Alzheimer’s Association, Midland College, UTPB in Odessa and, finally, Mewbourne Oil until her passing.
Teresa was always involved in church and church activities including teaching Bible classes for children, home fellowship groups and, more recently, Teen Challenge of Midland. She had much joy in doing each of these and none more than being with “the girls” at Teen Challenge with classes and retreats and just hanging out. She loved them and boy did they love her!
