Ruby Dale (Aka: Baby Dale) was born on June 14, 1938, to the union of Mr. Julius Caesar Giddings & Myrtle Eva Giddings (Green) near Bremond, Texas. Her nearly 87 years cultivated a marriage performed by Bishop J. E. Alexander, Pastor of Alexander Temple located in Midland, Texas to Charles Henry Robertson on July 30, 1955, and surprisingly were married at his death.
Ruby was raised in a Church of God in Christ home,, and her faith was nurtured by her grandmother,
Missionary Willie Mae Massingill. She rededicated her life to Jesus in 1975, under the pastorage of Supt. W. C. Kenan of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Midland, Texas.
Those that closely preceded her in death were her parents, husband, sisters: Ola Marie Giddings, Helen Giddings Loudd, & Marilyn Green; a son, Carman Dean Taylor, a daughter, Rhonda Renette Giddings; a great-grandson, Joshua Janes and nephews Jeffrey Waugh & Jonathan Webster.
Her legacy far outweighs her price in rubies and gold. Those who know her will honorably liken her to the Proverbs 31 woman in that she rose early to ensure there was food for her children, those that came to her aid in home repairs on Parker Street, friends in the community and the people of God who gladly received from the labor of her hands.
Baby Dale operated in at least four known gifts of the spirit. Her healing hands and magnificent gifts included wisdom and discernment of spirits & tongues, and her healing hands would bring the sickness of plants, fowls, animals, and humans to wholeness and health.
She was very well known in the medical field as Dr. Billy Cooper's nurse and administrator manager in his office located on Carver Street in Midland, Texas. Ruby was also like a merchant manager. While living in Midland she managed The Ponderosa Club located on Stonewall and please let us not forget The Chicken on The Go Restaurant located on Lee Street, both in Midland, Texas.
Those were the days filled with both joy and sorrow, but she made it look effortless because of her love for what she was skilled at doing far the ones who trusted in her the most.
Ruby Dale's merchant skills also consistently had the Saints looking good with their nuevo-waves, jerry curled hair styles and she could do a sew in that was done so well it looked like one's natural hair. Oh, those were the days. Lest it's forgotten, let us share when others were motherless, homeless, needed a listening ear, in need of clothing and or transportation, Sis. Jackson could be called on to help in all walks of life cheerfully.
"Jesus said of her when these acts of courage and kindness are done to the least of them in my kingdom, you've done the acts unto Him and great will be her reward." (Matthew 25:31-45; 5:11,12)
Lastly to those that love & know Ruby, Ruby Dale, Baby Dale, Mommy, Mom's legacy, if you were not able to see, talk to or knew to pray for her, please know that Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ performed miracle after miracle. Poems, songs and messages were given & written when praising God, reading The Holy Bible to her and worshipping God with her up until the last few days of her life while she waited to be absent from her present body to be present with The Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:6) Her legacy of love, service, and faith will forever live in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
