Rose Marie Parker Taylor

Rose Marie Taylor, 71 of Midland, passed away October 1, 2013. She was born April 6, 1942 in Midland, TX to John Woodrow Parker and Ollie Mae Baker and was raised in Midland. She was married to Lloyd E. Taylor in August of 1962 and had 2 children, Debra Taylor Harrell and David Wayne Taylor. She endured a lot of hardship and pain in her life, but came through them as always with her wonderful sense of humor.

Rose was kind and always willing to help others. She took care of her husband and mother until they passed and was the best of friends to her daughter. Rose was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is in heaven now, out of pain and rejoicing with her family and most importantly her son David who died tragically at the age of 18 in 1983. She will be greatly missed. Rose was a member of the South Memorial Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge Spouse Auxiliary.

Rose is survived by brothers; John J. Parker, Odessa, TX; Truman Parker and his wife Cheryl Parker of Midland, TX; and Preston Parker and his wife Sherry Parker of Midland, TX; daughter, Debra Harrell and her husband Gregory Harrell; grandchildren; Hannah Harrell and Gregory Harrell, Jr. and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

Rose is predeceased by her husband, Lloyd; both her parents; and son David.

Services will be held Saturday October 12, 2013 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel, 801 Andrews Hwy, Midland, TX at 3:00 pm. She will lie in state on Friday October 11, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
