Michael was born on November 18, 1960 in Midland, Texas to Bobbie and Jo Ann Martin. He graduated from Lee High School in 1979. He played trombone in the Lee Rebel Band and football. After graduation, he attended Midland College for a year preparing to become photography; however he took a turn in direction. He had a gift with tools and was always repairing items about our home and car.
Michael started working as a trainee for Energy Industry. He worked there for 29 years in the field and shop, and many times as a trouble shooter, which took him from Lubbock to Weatherford. His next employer was CSI and worked there for eight years. His position at the end of his career was Senior Lead Technician. He enjoyed his work and association with his co-workers.
Michael loved football, music, baseball and swimming. He was very talented man with anything, be it yard home or car.
Michael is survived by his parents, Bobbie and Jo Ann Martin, Brother, Gregory W. Martin and his wife Shawn with their daughter Amber of Carrollton, Texas. Uncle, Ronnie Mills and his wife Connie of Fort Worth, Texas; cousins Taylor Mills of Fort Worth, Texas, Nevada Mills and his wife Jewelie of Arkansas, Vada Machart and her husband Marvin of El Campo, Texas, Belinda McKey of Victoria, Texas and many cousins affectionately.
Everyone misses you Michael, Rest in Peace.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones for public visitation on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Ellis Funeral Home. Come help us celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. We appreciate all the Doctors at Midland Memorial Hospital and the Oncology Department.
A private memorial service for the family and friends will be held at a later date.
