Midland, TX passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Manor Park. He was born on October 26, 1930 in Leggett, TX and was the third of four children of the late Pearl Minnie (Herring) and Joseph Calvin Lott.
In the early 1950’s Jim proudly served his country in the US Army and was
stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX. Throughout the years he worked a
variety of jobs, including as a carpenter, an oilfield rep and salesman for El
Paso Natural Gas, a V.P. for Cardinal Petroleum Corporation, an auto
salesman in Fairbanks, AK and most recently for 20+ years he was a
salesman at Toyota of Longview. He enjoyed hiking, rock collecting, salmondipping in Alaska, fishing, boxing, basketball, baseball and golf.
Jim is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce, and by his brothers,
Calvin Roy Lott, Joseph Coy Lott and Howard Lawrence Lott.
Jim is survived by his half-sister, Therma Lee Dominy and the following family members:
His children, Sherilyn Lott Engel and her husband Tracy; Gayette Lott Eicher; James T. Lott, Jr.; and their mother, Gloria;
His ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren: Joshua Clifton (and his wife Heather and his daughter, Lila), Jeremiah Clifton, Jaime Airington (and her four children Harrison, Grace, Spencer and Ella Bleu); Joey Eicher (and his wife Lisa and their four children Ace, Archie, Radko and Sevy), Jake Eicher (and his wife Lauren) and Abby Eicher; Ryan Lott (and his four children Ryley, Jadon, Ruby and Saylor), Shawn Lott (and her daughter Ophelia), Gina Lott and Eric Lott;
His step-children, Carolyn and her husband Danny; Wally Hadley; and Leanne Hadley; and
Numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held privately by the family.
