Elvia Luna Lopez

Elvia was born in Hobbs, NM on June 5, 1961, to Jorge and Hermilla Luna. She graduated from Hobbs High School and continued on to receive her Associates degree from Hobbs Community College. After many years of working in the medical field, Elvia advanced to acquire her real estate license in Texas, where she worked as a real estate agent for Darrell McDonald Realtors. Elvia will forever be remembered and admired for her enthusiasm for life, and the abundance of unconditional love that she so generously shared with her family and friends. Her warm and amazing presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Elvia was married to Richard Lopez on February 21, 1981; they were married for 34 years. Elvia is preceded in death by her parents Jorge and Hermilla Luna, and brothers Arturo and Rogelio Luna.

Elvia is survived by her husband Richard Lopez, children Richard Lopez Jr. and Lauren Jade Lopez, siblings Mario Reynosa, Maria Gurule, George Luna, Melva Luna, and Amanda Luna.

A rosary will be held Monday, January 25th, 7pm at Ellis Funeral Home in Midland TX. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 26th at 2pm at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 4601 Neely Ave., Midland, TX. Monsignor James Bridges will be officiating. The burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Park in Midland TX.
