Brianna Patricia De La Cruz

Brianna was born to Paul P. Garcia Jr. and Maria De Los Angeles De La Cruz Garcia in Hereford, TX on July 14, 1980. Many will remember Brianna for her beauty, free spirit, and strong will. Her determination to preserve was the reason she was able to overcome countless and difficult battles.

Through it all, she kept the Lord at the center of her life. Seeking Him for guidance and using herself as a vessel to spread his unconditional love. As well as surrounding herself with family, one of the core pillars for her strength. She always said her purpose in life was to be a mother and found joy in gathering at the dinner table with her children to enjoy a meal.

She had the spirit of a mustang and always wanted a Shetland pony, which explains her lifetime love affair with cowgirl boots. Her natured oriented soul also found the beauty in stones and gems. Though she never became a geologist, that never stopped her from collecting tubs fulls of them.

If you asked her for a favorite animal she’d reply with an insect, the butterfly. Besides its’ brightly colored wings and delicate nature, Brianna loved its symbolism for transformation. Representing endurance, change, hope, and life; all of which she embodied.

Brianna will be greatly missed but her memory will be left behind with those whose hearts she touched.

She is survived by loving husband Joshua T. C. Hobson; children, Patrick Drake Paul Hobson, Kora Phoenix Hunt, Halynn Nicole Garcia-Barry, and Olivia Korynn Garcia - Barry; grandchildren, Myla Kate McCallahan, Jesus Mateo Alvarado; siblings, Lya Rebecca Foster, Isaac Paul Garcia and Levi Jose Garcia.

Pallbearers will be: Isaac Paul Garcia, Levi Jose Garcia, Noel Garcia, Patrick Drake Paul Hobson, Gabriel Noel Garcia and Jonathan Escamilla

A public visitation for Brianna will be held Monday, September 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home, 4616 N Big Spring Street, Midland, Texas 79705. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 5, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 4616 N Big Spring Street, Midland, Texas 79705. A burial will occur Monday, September 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4616 N Big Spring St, Midland, Texas 79705.
