Bonnie T. Clampitt

Bonnie T. Clampitt, of Midland, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010. Bonnie was born February 19, 1925 in Merkel, Texas to William and Emma McAninch. She graduated from Merkel High School and attended North Texas State Teacher’s College. Bonnie met and then married William Edwards Clampitt on September 13, 1947 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Bonnie worked at Sears, J.C. Penney, Dunlaps and at the First National Bank where she worked from 1974 to 1984 until she retired. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Emma McAnnich, and eleven brothers and sisters. Bonnie is survived by her husband, William Edwards Clampitt; daughter, Paula McKinney and husband Mark McKinney of Midland; son, Paul Clampitt and wife Linda Clampitt of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Matt McKinney of Dallas, TX; Jordan Clampitt of Plano, TX and Bailey Clampitt of Plano, TX; and several in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home Sunday, December 12, 2010 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Funeral services have been scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church with Reverend David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
