Annette Wearner

"Annette" was born October 17, 1946, in Beaumont, Texas. She was the daughter of Bernard and Juanita Collins. Annette was raised in Midland Texas and went to Lee High school, she graduated in 1964 from Lee and attended Texas Tech in the fall.

Annette married the love of her life Carl Wearner on November 26, 1970, they were happily married for 49 years. They resided in Denver Colorado for the first 18 years of their marriage and raised their daughter Tammy Franks with the Rocky Mountains as her backyard. Annette was a loving mother and wife, she was full of youthfulness and very fun loving. She loved to exercise and was a fitness instructor and for over 30 years. She was also a competitive dancer, model, and trained body builders for competition.

She and Carl moved to Phoenix in the late 1980s where she resided until late December 2022 when she returned home to be with her family in Midland Texas.

Preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Franks, and husband Bill Franks of Midland Texas, two grandchildren: Austin Franks and Brooklyn LeClear, and four beautiful great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in Resthaven Memorial Park, directed by Ellis Funeral Home, 4616 N. Big Spring Street, Midland, TX 79705. The family will receive friends at a visitation between 2:00-3:00 at Ellis Funeral Home with graveside service immediately following. Ellis Funeral Home is now located at Resthaven Memorial Park.
