As a child she took dance class, piano lessons and rode horses. She enjoyed outdoor activities. Brenda was a graduate of Middletown High School.
Brenda and John met through friends. On May 23, 1964 Brenda Kelly married John Whisman.
Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, John Whisman; sister, Faye Curtis; brother, CB Kelly.
Brenda is survived by her sons, Rick Whisman, David Whisman , Andy (Bonnie) Whisman; daughter Jackie (Chuck) Combs; six grandchildren, Christopher, Brittany, Megan, Brooklyn, Karley and Autumn; two great grand babies, Parker and Iris; and many nieces and nephews.
The family of Brenda K. Whisman wishes to extend a big thanks to Hospice Care of Middletown for quick action when I called and Dr. Wadhwa for years of special care and Dr. Magone for her hip rebuild from a wreck in 1993. Many thanks to those who were there for her over the years in her time of need.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2020 from 12-2 PM at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin St., Middletown. Funeral Service will follow at 2 PM with Dr. Dan Flory officiating.
