Alex "Junebug" Durham III

Identified as a natural born leader, certain images come to mind. Thoughts of a no-nonsense, tough-minded, dedicated, and disciplined person. He will be remembered as being highly organized, practical, and realistic. He was a person who always carried a strong sense of duty with him throughout his life. Possessed with traditional “old school” morals, Alexander was an individual who clearly communicated to those around him who he was and what he was all about. Everyone acquainted with Alexander knew him as a well-respected man who was a stable force in his community.

He enjoyed cooking, cleaning, communicating with family and friends, and listening to music from back in the day. Some of his favorite things: playing board games with everyone, eating crab legs, and watching the Grinch. His smile and sense of humor was everything. Alex never met a stranger that would not welcome his presence. To know him was to love him.

Above all of this, was his love for all his children and his Momma. Alex leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters: Erika Durham, Shirra Durham, Courtney Durham, and his son: Dmone Ramsey; sisters, Rita Johnson, Angela Buchanan, Toni Woods and twin sisters, Rosa Durham and Rosalyn Powell; 14 grandchildren; Nelson, Naeshawn, Niasimone, Amina, Dmoni, Makayla, Madison, Mariah, Milan, Milia, Adriana, Amari, August, and Auden. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends.
