Jo Ann Stamm, age 74 of Lady Lake, Florida passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024. She was born to the late Hazel L. (Smith) and John J. Godwin in Fort Clayton, Panama. Jo Ann was born to a Army father and there her love for traveling began. She married her high school sweetheart Robert “Mike” Stamm in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They continued to travel with Mike's 20 plus years of honorable service in the United States Navy. As the matriarch of the family, she proudly loved and encouraged her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in all their adventures. Jo Ann was a quiet person who enjoyed life's simple treasure of love and family. In her spare time she like to keep busy with crafts including quilting and her games on her Ipad. When the travel urge arose her and Mike would take cruises with Michael and Kim Godwin in the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Once Mike retired, they would occasionally drive to Alaska and take between three to six months to complete each journey. They would stop at many of the USA National Parks. Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Linda K. Godwin Upton, Robert A. Godwin and Michael J. Godwin. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Mike, children; Chuck Stamm (Tonya) and Jennifer Stamm Alder, siblings; Kenneth E. Godwin (Linda), Diana L. Godwin Wirt (Gary), and Sister in law Kim Godwin, grandchildren; Skyler Stamm (Payton), Piper Stamm, Kyle Monti, Evan Faulk and Mason Faulk (Kaitlin) and great grandchildren; Jett Monti, Isla Faulk and Duke Stamm.
A Graveside service will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 at 10:00 am at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Memorial Park located at 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, Florida 32068. Pastor Rick Crews to officiate.
