She was born June 27, 1939 in Kettering, the daughter of Kermit and Dorothy (Ritter) Simmons. Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother who loved cats, going to auctions, gardening with her husband and was known to make the best potato salad.
Ruth is survived by her son, Keith (Denise) Rankin; grandchildren, Jennifer (Rob) Moon, Justin Rankin, and Shawn Rankin; great grandchildren, Connor, Sophie, and Harper; brother, Paul Simmons; sister-in-law, Carol Rankin; nieces, Shelly and Ria; as well as her best friend, Virginia Hackney.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Morey Keith Rankin.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at GEBHART-SCHMIDT-PARRAMORE Funeral Home, Miamisburg. A graveside will follow at 1 PM at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg.
