John M. Reichhardt Jr. 78, of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. He was born June 14, 1943 and raised in Canton, Ohio. He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1961. John was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army Infantry stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington. His career went from the Army to Security (Canton, OH), then working as a government contractor as a technical librarian for many years in the Dayton area. He enjoyed spending time with his family and embraced his rich German heritage.
He is survived by his 4 children, Dennis Reichhardt (wife Ann (Trick) Reichhardt), Cindy Warrington (husband Mark), Jill Sturgill (husband Rick), and Cheryl Gibson (husband Ryan); 6 grandchildren, Kevin Reichhardt, Matt Hayden, Andrew Warrington, Jackson Warrington, Trevor Phillips, and Aubrey Gibson; 2 nephews, Scott Reichhardt and John Harrison; former wife, Joan Reichhardt; and many other extended family.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John Michael Reichhardt Sr. and Margaret Alvina Reichhardt; first wife, Linda Reichhardt and their son, Kevin Reichhardt; siblings, Nancy (Reichhardt) Harrison and Harold Reichhardt.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Forest Hill Cemetery, Canton, Ohio.
