passed from this life on September 4, 2012 at age 66 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born April 10, 1946 in Goes Station, Ohio to the late William Thomas and Clemma (Carroll) Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Virgil Weir and brother, Nick Adams. She is survived by her daughters, Tina (Jeff) Hogsten, Jamie (John) Pridemore, all of Miamisburg, and Jodi (Chris) Spires of Centerville. Her six precious grandchildren, Lauren (Justin) Fondaw, Kyle Hogsten, Brett and Mia Pridemore, all of Miamisburg, Andrea and Justin Spires of Centerville; brothers, Don (Phyllis) Adams of Corinth, MS, Tom (Anita) Adams of Bedford, TX, Tim (Milly) Adams of Waynesville, Rick (Shelly) Adams of Englewood; sisters, Jerri Adams of Cincinnati, Brenda (Pete) Camerino of Bellbrook, Carol (Ralph) White of Jamestown; sister in law, Kateyanne Unullisi of Clinton, WA; mother in law, Ruth Bryan of Middleburg, FL; brothers in law, Charles (Linda) Weir of Green Cove Springs, FL, Rob (Tiffany) Bryan of Brandenburg, KY; sisters in law, Shirley Parker of Smithville, TN, Sharon Ingle and Bonnie Gagne of Jacksonville, FL. 32 nieces and nephews, numerous loving friends and relatives. Special friends Karen Hawkins, Shirley and Danny LaForce, Mel Rutherford, the McGraw family, Will and Krista Sheehan, Dan Wessling, and Don Peeler. Jean was a longtime member of Miamisburg Christian Church, where she taught classes and cooked many wonderful meals. She was co-owner of County Wide Electric for over thirty years, and was also employed by Sterling Apartment Group for many years. She was a very loving wife, mother, gramma, daughter, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend. A special thank you to Dr. Mark Romer and staff for their unmatched care and service, and a very special thank you to nurse Joni Bragg, who fielded countless questions, and who made tireless efforts to reassure, comfort, and care. Also a thank you to Hospice of Dayton for quality care and compassion, and nurse Joann Dole for her wisdom and guidance. Visitation will be 5-8 PM on Friday, September 7 at the Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, 508 E. Linden Ave., Miamisburg, where a funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 8 at 10 a.m., with Pastor Rich McKinley officiating. Interment Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Warren County.
