Obituary-Sydelle (Bass) Golub

April 19, 1931 - October 7, 2023

Sydelle (Bass) Golub passed peacefully on October 7, 2023 after a brief illness. She was 92 years old. Sydelle was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to four children, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Sydelle moved to Miami with her first husband, Eugene Bass, in 1958, raising all of her children here. She was predeceased by her first husband of 25 years, her second husband of 25 years, Berl Golub, and her oldest daughter, Rickie Taylor. She is survived by her children, Hilarie Bass, Jodie Bass, Steve (Lisa) Bass, grandchildren Samual Taylor, Molly Vick, Emma (Jared) Morel, Rebecca Kagan, Ethan, Samantha, Rachel and Sarah Bass, and great grandchildren Aiden Vick, Dexter Luna, Justin and Miles Morel.

Sydelle obtained a degree from the University of Dayton, having returned to school after her children were grown, and served as a career counselor at Miami Dade College. A private family service is being held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UHealth Neurological Stroke Research Fund.

A graveside service for Sydelle will be held Monday, October 9, 2023 from 1:00 PM at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall), 5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143.
