Ramona Barakat

Ramona "Grace" Barakat, age 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her husband, children and family, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth. She was born in the Dominican Republic and the oldest of six children, Grace was cherished by her family and adored by all who knew her. She was the loving mother to 3 (Adam, Estrella, and Franklin Jr) and a proud grandmother to 6 (Lauren, Leslie, Giada, Franklin, Valentina and Luca). She spent her life as a hairdresser and salon owner. She was known to have "Gold Fingers", and to those who knew her a heart of gold. She was a beloved sister, aunt and friend, sharing her kindness and affection with all who knew her. Grace was known for her love of travel to her home country and enjoyed cruising. Her most precious time was when spent in the presence of her family, especially her grandchildren. Her generous heart, spirit, and the special bonds she formed will be deeply missed.

Grace's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A visitation for Ramona will be held Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM at Caballero Rivero Westchester, 8200 Bird Road, Miami, FL 33155. A funeral mass will occur Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11:30 AM at St. Hugh, 3460 Royal Road, Coconut Grove, FL 33133. A committal service will occur Monday, October 7, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Miami Memorial Park, 6200 SW 77th Ave, Miami, Florida 33143.
