Mr. Fritz Mardy Sr

Fritz Mardy Sr. was born Jean- Marie Fritz Mardy on Tuesday February 27th, 1940, to Yves Mardy (Deceased) and Solange Desrosiers (Deceased) in Les Cayes, Haiti. His aunt Brunia was a second mother to him. He attended primary school at Les Frères De L’intruction Chrétienne and continued his secondary schooling at Lycée Phillip Guerrier des Cayes. Fritz went on to study Civil Engineer in Port Au Prince, Haiti at the Institute Supérieur Technique D’Haiti (ISTH). Before leaving Haiti, Fritz spent many years at SNEM working with the community.

In 1968, Fritz left Haiti to complete his studies in Civil Engineering at City College in New York, he was extremely intelligent, a great mind. He was employed at New York Telephone for over forty years. While in New York he met and married Gisele Victor and had three children.

Fritz was a great father and husband. He was an extraordinary man. He loved life, his family, soccer, chess, domino, red wine, and cognac. He lived for his family. He was full of humor and joie de vivre. He will always be in our hearts and will truly be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Gisele Victor Mardy. His children, Fritz Mardy Jr., Gisandre Mardy, and Marjorie Mardy. His son-in -law Frantz G. Saint- Louis and children. His grandchildren, Fritz-Olivier Saint- Louis, and Zoë Olivia Mardy. His sister, Yvette Mardy Faustin. His brother, Yvon Brezault. His Nephews, Ralph Faustin, Jeffrey Faustin, Jean Phillippe Brezault, Yvon Brezault Jr. and Yvan Brezault. His niece, Gabrielle Brezault. His cousins; Jacqueline Vastey, Ashley Vastey, Fabienne Vastey, Cadijah Vastey, Willow Vastey, Marissa Vastey, Valencia Vastey, Rolande Damas Pierre & Children; Francesse, Francois Jr., Jean Michel, Nancy, Carlos and Vianey Boisrond.

A visitation for Fritz Sr. will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 16000 SW 112 Ave, Miami, Florida 33157. An entombment will occur Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Woodlawn Park South, 11655 SW 117 Ave, Miami, Florida 33186.
