Heaven will be shinning a little brighter today as we say farewell to the beacon of light and laughter that characterized our Adalberto aka Cali today.

Only the good die young …and boy did you show all of us how to live!! I’m sure they’ll be much joy and laughter up in heaven! Thank you brother for being a man of God who godfathered and guided so many of our children into the faith, who gave selflessly to so many always, who led by example and who gave so much love!

We all feel the emptiness and look forward to that day when we will all be reunited again in heaven! Until then we will continue to honor your life by living out your legacy.

I don’t think anyone will ever forget his infamous knock on the door. He knocked like if he were the cops trying to get into the house, but as soon as us kids heard that knock we were so happy! Happy because that meant the funnest person we had ever met was here to visit! He would come in and say “we’re going to toys r us” those words were magic to any child’s ears! Then we would get to toys r us and he would say “pick whatever you want”! When I was younger I was obsessed with Enrique Iglesias- padrino  somehow purchased a life size poster of Enrique for me for Christmas, the poster was bigger than me. He would do anything to see a smile on our faces and I know we can all name a time where he was there for us, where he would drop everything or help us with something we needed. But what I will always remember about him is his humor. How he would yell at the top of his lungs “parraaaaaaaa” or look at us dead in the face and say “your faceeeee”. Where we would be at a store and he would make a fart noise and say….. te tirastes un peo! I am so proud to be his God Daughter. One of the last messages between him and I was about memories. I had sent him a picture of one of the kids birthdays and he responded saying “these are the psychological set moments we will never forget, no matter how old we get” it made me think about how many positive psychological set moments he set for us all. He was the life of every room he walked into. I know that God will help us all navigate what comes next, and I know things will be very different. But I also know that he will send us so much love from above. And as he always told me “you are my God child and I will be the first face you see in heaven” I am positive that we will see each other again. Until then, I know he would want us to keep creating positive memories as he did for us that will last us a lifetime. I love you forever, open those gates for me padrino! 

I worked with Al on a contract in the Caribbean from 2016 to 2020.  It was work, but Al made it fun, always upbeat and happy.  He was a family man that spoke often of his wife and the rest of his family.  He'll be missed in the polygraph community and I'm sure by family and friends.   

I had the pleasure of meeting Al through the Florida Polygraph Association in 2014 and then traveled extensively with him from 2015 to 2020.

He was a good friend and well liked wherever he went; he spoke fondly of his family on a daily basis.

I will miss him
