Sandra Whittenberg

Sandra Whittenberg, 83, daughter of the late George and Olga Priegel Moore, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at EJGH in Metairie, LA with her loving family at her side. Sandra was a native of St. Louis, MO and a long-time resident of Metairie, LA. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill Whittenberg. Loving mother of John Little (Monica), and Mary Persigo (Mark), stepmother of Kathy Melilli (Dan), June Buras, Brenda Whittenberg and the late James Whittenberg, grandmother of Brian Smith, Brittany, Allison and Alex Whittenberg, great grandmother to Madison O’Neal. Sandra was a world traveler with a zest for life. She was a very loving and generous person. She will be fondly remembered by family and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm in the Chapel.
