Beloved husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathryn H. Kogos, daughters Karyn Kogos Talbot, Katherine (Kat) Kogos, and son -in-law Michael Talbot Jr.
Ron loved to tell cheesy jokes, traveling with his family, listening to all types of music, watching crime shows such as NCIS NOLA, arguing with his daughters over control of the air conditioner, sailing, playing jokes on his dogs, eating any type of sweets, and taking naps after retiring from working as an advertising executive from several New Orleans companies such as Clarion Herald newspaper and Play Meter magazine.
Ronald was also an Officer of the Mardi Gras Krewe, the Knights of Sparta, for more than 30 years. There he enjoyed spending time with his friends, daughters who were also a part of the court for many years, and the season of Mardi Gras.
Ronald is survived by his two brothers, Gerald and Donald Kogos, sister-in-laws Kitty Kogos, Colleen Kogos, and Patricia Warden, and brother-in-law Charles Warden. As well as several nieces and nephews: Nicole Kogos, Ryan Warden, Marnie Kogos, Christy Kogos Mayet , and Jarred Kogos. He will also be missed by his 3 dogs: Delilah, Pamela, and Scrappy as well as his several friends and family members.
We all love you dad and will miss you.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 1:00 pm -2:00 pm at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana with a Prayer Service at 2:00 pm.
