Ora Hebert

Ora Mae Hebert, age 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 5, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Charles J. Hebert. Loving mother of David Hebert Sr. (Joyce). Proud grandmother of David Hebert Jr. (Cristy) and Tanya Green (Patrick). Great grandmother of Brandon Hebert, Ryan Hebert, Grace Green and Mackenzie Green. Daughter of the late Alcide and Savie Autin Hebert. Sister of Lorina Hough, Shirley Doles and the late Dudley Hebert, Ivan Hebert and Clarice Theriot. Ora also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.

Ora was a long-time resident of New Orleans who relocated to Slidell after Hurricane Katrina. She was a parishioner at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Slidell. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Melba Yarbrough for her care and compassion.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am and continue until the time of the service. Interment will take place in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in St. Rose.
