Michael Keith Nunez

Michael Keith Nunez was the third son of Charles Rene Nunez, Sr. (died 2011) and Joan Elizabeth (Gerlach) Nunez (died 2000). He is survived by siblings Charles Rene Nunez, Jr. and Gail (Bergeron) Nunez of Houston, TX, Christopher Eugene Nunez and Brenna Synnestvedt of Bryn Athyn, PA, Joan Ann (Jan) Nunez of Atlanta, GA, and Felix Joseph Nunez of Gretna, LA. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews he sincerely loved, including Thomas Joseph Craddock of Waukegan, IL, Robert David Craddock of Houston TX, Lauren Jeanette Craddock of Atlanta, GA, Elizabeth Renee Craddock of Atlanta, GA, Reece Synnestvedt Nunez of New York City, and Raika Fiske Nunez of Chicago, IL.

Although relatives were always moving around, Keith resided in the family home in Metairie all his life, returning after each threatening hurricane to continue building and rebuilding his life in New Orleans which he dearly loved and where he was loved in return by friends and colleagues. He took pride in being a Katrina survivor, but knew it was more important to be a post-Katrina rebuilder of the lives and culture of New Orleans.

Loyalty to family, friends, colleagues, krewe mates, other fans of the Rolling Stones, and to New Orleans was very important, if not most important. Please say a prayer for him and tell someone you love to stop smoking.
