Mary Ann “Marie” Kenney Bell, age 102, went to Heaven on Sunday, August 23, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Charles Bell to whom she was married 51 years. Mother of Jo Ann Bell Thigpen. Grandmother of Amy Christine (husband, Jeffrey Ward), Judith Ann and the late Andrew Byron Thigpen. Sister of the late Joseph Thomas Kenney, Jr. and Nola Kenney Castanedo. Daughter of the late Joseph Thomas Kenney, Sr. and Lillian Agnes Petersen Kenney. Also loved by her dear nieces and nephews, and many friends. Mrs. Bell was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie, LA for 51 years. She lived a long full life and shared her love and wisdom with all she met. She opened her home and heart to all who needed her. Marie’s gone home. She will be in our hearts forever. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday, August 29, 2015 beginning at 10:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:30 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
