Marion S. Dwyer

Marion Eleanor Sprich Dwyer, age 92, of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was born in New Orleans. She is preceded in death by her parents, the late William Herman Sprich and Augusta Frederica Schaefer, her loving husband of 72 years, Clarence J. Dwyer, along with her sisters, Hermine Sprich Hattier, Janice Sprich Juan, Edna Sprich Knecht, Doris Sprich Lauland and Patricia Jane Sprich. She is survived by her five children, Eileen Augusta Dwyer Morris (John), Clarence Joseph Dwyer, Jr. (Nancy), Kathleen Elaine Dwyer, Susan Kay Dwyer, and Michael Thomas Dwyer (Denise), with 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

She loved the Lord, was a devoted Christian, and a loving wife, mother, and MawMaw. She loved singing in her church choir, teaching Sunday School, bowling, playing her organ, swimming, and vacations at the beach.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 am. Committal will immediately follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 5190 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana.
