Louis Eugene Benjamin III passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Louis “Benjie” was born on December 8, 1973 to and preceded in death by his parents, Maria Elaine Bourquard and Louis Eugene Benjamin, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Kiley, his daughter Juliet, and his grandson, Isaiah. He also leaves behind his sister, Jessica, his nieces and nephew as well as other extended family. A native of New Orleans, he grew up hunting, fishing, and shrimping. He loved the outdoors, loved animals, enjoyed gardening, good food and cooking. Louis worked as a stagehand for many years with Local 39 & 478 and also previously worked as a bail bondsman. Gone too soon, he will be deeply missed by us all. An interment burial will take place on Tuesday, April 19 at Lakelawn Park Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. in the Foyer of Eternal Light where he will be laid to rest with his mother and maternal grandparents.
