Following a brief illness, Lorraine Frances Bankston Warner has been freed of her earthly bonds of ninety-two years to join our Lord God in the eternal peace and security of her new home in heaven. Born in New Orleans, Lorraine has lived for the past fifty years in Metairie, Louisiana. She was employed for many years by Southern Microfilm Corp. A lifelong Catholic, she is a parishioner of St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church. Lorraine was one of nine children born to Leonard and Vivian Bankston, both of whom preceded her in death, along with sisters Vivian Jeffrey, Audrey Smith, Shirley Capagnano and her brothers Leonard and Earl Bankston. She was also preceded in death by her estranged husband, Bill Rex Warner. Lorraine is survived by her son Billy A. Warner, his wife Karen L. Akers Warner, her grandchildren Bryan A. Warner, Vanessa L. Warner and Jessica A. Litchford, as well as her great-grandchildren Jade Sullivan, Reaghan Litchford and Greyson Litchford. Lorraine is also survived by a sister, Alice St. Angelo, two brothers, William Bankston and Ronald Bankston, and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie on January 12, 2016 at 11:00 am Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of service.
