Lillian Kerner Sachitana, age 99, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 21, 2015. Mrs. Sachitana was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Mandeville, LA. Beloved wife of the late Thomas D. Sachitana, Sr. Mother of Thomas D. Sachitana, Jr. (wife, Agnes) and Jackquline L. Lobell (husband, the late Harold). Grandmother of Christina L. Williams (husband, Paul), Michele L. Hemphill (husband, David) Harold R. Lobell, Jr. and Thomas D. Sachitana, III (wife, Susan). Daughter of the late George F. Kerner and Catherine Lutmann Kerner. Sister of the late Catherine Bautsch, Nita Luke and George Kerner. Great grandmother of Timmy LeBlanc, Katie Williams, Priscilla Nagim, Ashley Nagim, Rachel Weinmann, Harry Lobell, Tommy Sachitana, Dominick Sachitana. Great great grandmother of Nathan Galland, Noah Guin, Cameron Folks, Presley Durham, Hailey Sullivan and Jordan Roach. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sachitana was the owner of Model Cleaners. Her nickname was “Lightening” because she was fast on her feet, very industrious and always busy doing something. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Friday morning, September 25, 2015 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
