Joyce Marie Konen Lawrence

Joyce Marie Konen Lawrence, age 90, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022. Mrs. Lawrence was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Jefferson, LA for many years. Beloved wife of Howard T. Lawrence for 70 years. Mother of Deborah Williams (Donald Williams). Grandmother of Max Williams. Daughter of the late Edward B. Konen and Rena Duval Konen. Sister of the late Elizabeth Thompson. Aunt of Cheryl Armand and Karen Thompson. She was also loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Lawrence was an avid genealogist. She enjoyed fishing with her husband. She was an administrator for her husband’s roofing business. In her younger years she was a Girl Scout leader, a room mother at St. Agnes and she enjoyed bowling and basketball. Mrs. Lawrence and her husband took dancing lessons at Arthur Murray and enjoyed having pizza parties on Friday nights with their friends. Mrs. Lawrence was a very devoted wife and mother and will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 beginning at 10:30 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
