Joseph S. Cousin

Joseph S. Cousin entered peacefully into heaven on Friday, February 22, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Loving father of Stephen Cousin (Kathy), Scotty Cousin (Laura), and Christopher Cousin (Debbie). Best friend and loving companion of Carolyn Ovella for 19 years. Proud grandfather of Christopher, Clarice, and Kelley Cousin, and Karyta Sudiartama. Son of the late Eunice and Cornelius J. Cousin, Sr. Survived by siblings Philip Cousin, Cornelius Cousin, Jr. (Carol), Peggy C. Bennett (Don), Joyce C. Cypert (Mark—Deceased), and Andrew Cousin (Linda). Also survived by extended family Greg, Glen (Carrie), Madison, Aiden, Alexis, and Mason Picadash as well as loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age 72, a native of Lacombe LA and a resident of Metairie. Joe served his country in the United States Army and retired supervisor from a Coors Distributing Company in Houston, TX. He enjoyed gardening, travel, dancing, and old TV westerns. He was a devout Catholic with a stong faith in God and attended Mass regularly.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home , 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie , LA on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Visitation from 10:00 am until Mass time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery .
