Joan Taranto Corass, age 58, passed away in Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, July 20, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Charles Alphonse Corass, who preceded her in death on May 23, 2013. Mother of Barbara Kyzar (John), Brenda Corass, Kitty Griscom (Jacob) and the late Linda Taranto. Stepmother of Elaine Arwood, Joseph and Michael Corass and the late Charles Dennis. Sister of Gerrie and Mary Taranto, and the late Bonnie, Theresa and Ann Taranto, Mike Michel and Dominick Taranto Jr. Also survived by grandchildren, Jacob and Diane Griscom, Jennie, Christy, Andrew and Duanne. Great grandmother of Alyssa and Keira. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Funeral Services from the Metairie home of THARP-SONTHEIMER-THARP, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. at 43rd St on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 12:00 Noon, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment to follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, Avondale, LA.
